What does it take to grow a studio of artisans, but also work happily and cohesively?
1. Freedom of Opinions:
Our team is made up of 70% artisans, 20% support and 10% admin. The artisans play a huge roll in our business decisions. We also have an annual profit sharing plan which benefits each of them
2. In this Together:
Every artisan family has been supported through the pandemic lockdowns, in 2020 and 2021. We have vaccinated the entire artisan team, and will now extend this to their families.
We also have the best chai and filter coffee every day!
3. Grow the Skill:
Master artisans Krishna Bhat and Satish are huge advocates of our Outreach program. They create the syllabus and lead the training modules for the specially-abled artisans at the Autism community centers. Both of them are glad to see next-gen artisans picking up the trade.
4. Spend time together:
Every month we plan a picnic lunch at the studio, and by unanimous choice, their favourite dessert is Holige, a flatbread made with coconut and jaggery. We also have the best chai and filter coffee every day!
5. Pride in our Work:
Our artisans love Show&Tell ! When a new product they have worked on launches, we always share photos and videos with the team. They feel proud that their work has reached a global audience
